Mumbai: Eyes are all set on the show of strength of both the factions of the Shiv Sena on the occasion of Dasara in Mumbai even as they prepare for a massive power show at Shivaji Park and the Azad Maidan on Tuesday evening.
The Shiv Sena under Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has claimed that over two lakh party workers will be coming to Azad Maidan in South Mumbai from all across the state to witness the historic event of Dasara Melava and experience the vibrant Hindutva.
“More than 5200 buses and about 8 to 10 thousand small vehicles will come from across Maharashtra and this Dussehra Rally is going to repeat the tradition of late Balasaheb Thackeray and the pride of vibrant Hindutva, said Shiv Sena spokesperson and Maharashtra region coordinator Naresh Mhaske in a press conference.
Party workers will also be coming in two special trains from Vidarbha for this gathering. Tea and refreshments have been arranged at Vashi, Mulund, Padgha, Dahisar Checknaka for people coming from outside Mumbai for the Dussehra rally. Similar arrangements have been made at the Azad Maidan also, Mhaske said and further gave details of various other arrangements regarding parking, etc for party workers coming from all across the state.
The Shiv Sena (UBT) too has made similar elaborate arrangements at Shivaji Park. The Shiv Sena (UBT) has appealed to party workers not to bring any bags or lunch tiffins while coming for the rally and has said that all arrangements have been made. Pick-up and drop arrangements between the parking lots assigned for different zones and the Shivaji Park too have been made for the party workers attending the rally tomorrow.
“Party workers coming from outside Mumbai have been asked to come by train to avoid traffic congestions,” MP Vinayak Raut, who has been overseeing the arrangements said.
Party’s district heads and senior leaders have been entrusted with the responsibility to bring in party workers from all areas of the state, he said. However, he declined to give an estimated number of party workers who would attend the rally.
