Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and national convener of AAP, declined an invitation to attend the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple on 22 January, stating his preference to visit Ayodhya later with his family.

However, he is now set to visit the newly inaugurated temple on Monday (12 February) accompanied by his family and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, as reported by Hindustan Times.

Kejriwal expressed his desire to visit the temple with his parents, wife, and children after the consecration ceremony.

Despite receiving an invitation for the ceremony in January, he opted to defer the visit to a later date.

Responding to questions about the invitation, Kejriwal mentioned that while he received a letter from the government, a team was supposed to provide a personal invitation, which had not yet occurred.

He cited security concerns due to the presence of several VVIPs at the ceremony.

During the consecration ceremony, Kejriwal announced plans by the Delhi government to organise special train services to Ayodhya, aiming to facilitate pilgrimages for devotees.

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with other state officials and legislators, visited the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.

The consecration ceremony of Lord Ram Lalla at the temple, conducted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a team of priests, took place on 22 January.
